Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations in school – Friday 27th May 2022

12th May 2022 By alisonbowdenstoker

To mark the Queen’s Jubilee, we will be holding a fantastic celebration for our children on the afternoon of Friday 27th May.  We feel it is important that the children realise the significance of this historical event, whilst also having fun and creating memories.

We have a number of exciting activities taking place to make the afternoon memorable for our wonderful children.

On the day, children can come into school in non-uniform (wearing red/white/blue if possible).  The celebration will begin with the whole school coming together on the school field to enjoy a picnic lunch.  Therefore, children can bring their own packed lunch or order a school packed lunch by completing the attached form and returning it to school by Monday 16th May.  If we do not receive a form, we will assume your child is bringing their own packed lunch from home.  As it is a special day, I am willing to relax our packed lunch rules and allow children to bring some eats and treats (within moderation!) to enjoy.

We are sure the children will have a fun and enjoyable afternoon and we feel this will be a lovely way to end what has been another fantastic half term in school.  We will ensure to take lots of photographs which parents will be able to see on our website, newsletter and school Facebook page.

My very best wishes,

Mr Appleby
